Unfortunately, I contracted that dreadful and debilitating infection called malaria before my arrival.
But drained as I felt, I wasn’t going to give in, nor was I going to miss such an august event:
The LAUNCHING OF CAPRECON JOS.
Jos is a city close to my heart for several reasons, but foremost of all is its clement weather.
SO SOOTHING.
Before my arrival, I had been hurtling across the country to other cities where the heat from the scorching sun, this time of year, made me feel like being roasted alive.
I sweated profusely everywhere I went. But I did not break a sweat in Jos.
Oh! The food too:
Fruits and vegetables. Sadly, my appetite was low. But I savoured the smell, all the same.
AND NOW THE PEOPLE AND THE EVENT
There was excitement throughout. It was absorbing and moving too. And most importantly, there were some thought-provoking words, admirably rendered from the heart, by our guests and potential partners.
They talked about forming Partnerships with Caprecon. They talked about Synergy. They talked about making our spacious and strategically placed Caprecon Office, a home for all.
All for the benefit of the Communities, the State and the Country.
I carried away from the event, a sense of freshness, a new sense of purpose and a determination to do more.
I could never thank enough, our director, Pastor Lawrence, our office manager, Janet, and our team of volunteers, for putting up such an excellent event.
And I am forever indebted to the distinguished guests who honoured our invitation and encouraged us with their words of wisdom.
Now, it is time for the economy of words. Let the photos and videos below, speak for themselves.
